Op Day + Two

I am doing well and I have had all my tubes and drips removed - ouch! I have started to eat solids and the doctor says I am one day ahead of schedule for recovery so he is very pleased.

However, I am still very weak and have difficulty sitting without back support and standing.I am also having a lot of problems with painful wind. The physiotherapist is going to come round later today and try and help me to move slowly around my bed -this should help to displace some of the wind and hopefully make me feel more comfortable.

Jane is with me and is looking after me - she is even managing to stay quiet for a while when I want to rest !

Hi Lawrie, I’m trying to post a comment for the third time, so here goes. Eureeka! the copy and paste has worked, so this time the post should do too. The reason....I've changed from Firefox to Internet Explorer. So tell Anna to add that at the side. My comment: When I was in hospital in Austria I had to be given bed baths for a while and it was really stimulating! I couldn’t easily turn onto my left side because the room turned over, so when they turnwed me over for a bath or to make the bed, I had to grab something to make sure I was lowered slowly. You can guess what part of the nurse I grabbed in order to do this! Here’s my initial post and hope this works so that you can read it and I don’t have to type it a fourth time as the copy and paste doesn’t work on it. "Glad your operation went well, Lawrie. Thinking of you earlier, but not sure if we got the time right. Love the vids. How cool and 'theatrical'! Praying for complete healing and successful lab results in two weeks. Keep smiling (adding now...at the blonde in your bed!)and making the vids. Love from Julie and David."
