Well today I went into hospital for my 6th chemo treatment out of 12.
I am still doing very well - despite having a cold and slight temperature last week for a few days. It could have been swine flu - who knows? I came into hospital for a blood test just to check that nothing serious was going on - all was fine.
Anyway I recovered well enough to shoot an 89 - my best ever golf score! I then shot a 92 and tomorrow I am due to play in the monthly village society golf day at Saffron Walden. I hope to play well and retain my bandit credentials as I will be playing off 24 in the stableford tournament. (Yawn, yawn say all the non-golfers.)
Jane is busy working doing supply teaching and a variety of other ad hoc jobs. I have been applying for interim management roles in the East Anglian region - but no joy yet. We hope to go out to Florida for a few months from early January - so I can only undertake short term assignments which is limiting the roles I can apply for.
Anna is about to move from Nottingham to Sutton Coldfield. She and her 7 year old boyfriend (you know what I mean) are renting a house for a year. Jon has been successful in finding a job. He starts on 5 October with OFFWAT (the government funded independent watchdog for the water industry) which has offices near to New Street Station in Birmingham. It is a really good job with excellent long term prospects.
Anna will continue to work 2 days a week in Nottingham and also complete her PHd studies before looking for a full-time job for herself.
Well that's all for now.
